I am a 44 year old female Taurean who has been wrenched from the comfort and security of an inconsequential quiet, little life in Hornsey, North London UK. Where I made doll's house miniature food to keep the wolf from the door. Now I find myself in a crowded, humid and chaotic metropolis Jakarta Indonesia. This is a diary of my day to day experiences and how I manage to adjust to my new home.

Getting Use to the Timezone
4th January
Today Ollie and I went to look at T-shirts at an outlet shop. So that he can buy low sell high.
It is 20.00hrs now and I am exhausted julian and I
didn't sleep well last night. we woke at 02.00hrs and found it hard to get back to sleep.
We have just returned from having a buffet dinner at The Four Seasons hotel, it cost 1000000 rupiah thank God that's only about £64.00.
Ollie has been to the gym twice today once in the morning with Julian and again with me in the afternoon. We are staying at the Ascott and will remain in the appt for a month hopefully up grading as a renovated appt becomes available.
Tomorrow we hope to explore a museum or a national park but, must of all have a lie in.
Julian's Indonesian employees bought him a batik shirt as a present which he wore today as its Batik Friday. Traditionally government workers wore Batik clothing on Fridays. Now the custom is spreading to other occupations.
